The C4 or C 4th Chord is a tetrad, meaning it contains four notes. Also the shaded area in the piano diagram has four notes shaded is the chord.
The C 4th chord is constructed with a root, a major third(3rd), major fourth(4th) and a major fifth(5th).
- Place your right hand’s thumb on the note C, which is the white key just to the left of a group of two black keys in the middle of the keyboard.
- Place your Index finger on E, Place your middle finger on the note F, which is the white key just to the left of the E key.
- Place your ring finger on the note G, which is the white key just to the right of the F key.
